That is Ceciel's mission, to support women during the journey towards achieving their goals, with unique designs that help to exalt the uniqueness of each one of us.

 

 

 

Behind the brand, I am Elien Machado, founder and designer. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. 

I love art, creation and fashion.

Since I was very little, I liked to wear accessories and play with them.

My mom has been my greatest influence and inspiration, she was a runway model who I always saw well dressed, gorgeous with stunning accessories. 

When I was 12 years old, I created my first accessory "a keychain" to put it in my handbags. My sister loved that idea and bought materials, so I made many keychains and she sold them. 

During the school break, I created bracelets and gave them to my school friends, it was my favorite hobby.

In 2010, I created a brand that for me has a meaning of love and evokes happiness Ceciel, the combination of the name of my grandmother Cecilia and my name Elien, but I discovered over time that this name sounds like a rainbow in French.

I was creating pieces and doing courses that taught me various techniques and one of the most beautiful and which I fell in love with is soutache. I made several designs and collections.

In 2015, I decided to move to the U.S. and began a new life, but never did I stop dreaming about Ceciel

I continue working to create Ceciel’s main purpose, which is for Ceciel to reach all women and make them feel beautiful and happy with themselves,  and give joy to all their important moments in life.
